The physical therapist applies his/her expertise in gross motor (e.g., postural control, strength, endurance, balance, coordination, motor planning, functional mobility, strength, speed, and agility) and sensory processing development, evaluation and intervention/treatment to help children and youth succeed academically and socially. He/she partners with families, teachers, school administrators, and other professionals in achieving the aforementioned: job description

Job Qualifications

• Is licensed by New York State as a Physical Therapist.
• Possesses comprehensive knowledge pertaining to gross motor and sensory processing development, evaluation and intervention/treatment.
• Demonstrates a solid understanding of data-driven intervention.
• Demonstrates integrity, honesty, a lifelong commitment to learning, as well as strong written and oral communication skills.
• Is skilled at establishing positive working relationships.
• Alternatives and/or additions to the above qualifications may be made as the Superintendent and Board of Education find appropriate.
