Job Qualifications

Requirements: 

Coach:

• Unified Sports coaches meet all State Department of Education and Interscholastic Association requirements for certification.
• Unified Sports coaches complete the NFHS course “Coaching unified Sports” available online for free at NFHSLearn.com
• Unified Sports coaches attend pre-season coaches’ meetings.
• Schools participate in one complete Unified Sports season, from pre-season scrimmage date through culminating/post season tournament event.

YAC Advisor:

• YAC Advisor Training (30-minute webinar)
• Hold Monthly meetings with YAC to plan activities and events in support of school’s Unified Sports teams, bullying prevention, inclusion or other ways to improve school climate.
• YAC Advisor and members attend annual sectional YAC Summit.
