Speech/Language Pathologist

Long-Term Substitute for Leave of Absence

Location: Wayland-Cohocton Elementary School

Start Date: January 2025–April 2025

Application Deadline: November 8, 2024

Description: The substitute speech-language pathologist applies his/her expertise in speech/language development, evaluation and intervention/remediation of communication disorders to help children and youth succeed academically and socially. He/she partners with families, teachers, school administrators, and other professionals in achieving the aforementioned.  

 

Job Qualifications

• • New York State Speech and Language Disabilities certificate.
  • Licensed by New York State as a Speech/Language Pathologist, or is working toward license.
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge pertaining to speech/language development, as well as the evaluation and intervention/remediation of communication disorders.
  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of data-driven intervention.
  • Demonstrates integrity, honesty, a lifelong commitment to learning, as well as strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Skilled at establishing positive working relationships.
